Too often the location of furniture is an afterthought. But, as this remodeled living room shows, the arrangement of furniture, and especially the television, needs to be considered from the start.

When Winter Park, Florida, interior designer Sandy Crawford and her husband, Russ, began remodeling their 1940s-era home, they knew the living room would need to function as both a formal place for entertaining and a casual spot for the family to watch television.
